Known as the famous “Médaille d’Amour,” this collector’s piece is inspired by a love poem written in 1899 by Rosemonde Gérard to her husband Edmond Rostand (author of Cyrano de Bergerac). One of its verses reads: “Car, vois-tu, chaque jour je t’aime davantage,
Aujourd’hui plus qu’hier et bien moins que demain.”
(“For, you see, every day I love you more; today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow.”)
Augis immortalized this feeling in a series of love medals that have become true icons.
